Want to know where we are headed? The kind of church we want to be? Read this draft proposal that will be voted on in Mid January 2019. The Dream: In the next 10 years we will saturate Fremont County with a people penetrating message of God’s love. We will challenge everyone who calls this church home to a deeper relationship with God. We promise to be spiritually alive, so that we will be a mirror of Jesus to each other and our community. We will transform our Sunday School to be a platform to propel us to live and share Christ that is repeatable and disciple making. We pledge to honor God with a powerful, enriching Worship Service that inspires, excites and compels us to a singular focus to glorify and reflect the presence of God. We want God to push us out into the community, we will invite and reach our county through a transportation ministry that brings in anyone, everyone who wants to worship, and experience God will find a home here. We will be a church constantly under construction with God as our architect. We will seek an environment of flexibility, creativity and adaptability that says yes to God’ leadership. We will seek and know the needs of our community, make the changes required to pave the way for all to enter this house of worship. We will prepare the way for those we do not know by providing a House of Worship that seats 300 people. Today we gather as 100 people, in the next ten years we will gather as 300 worshiping, gospel saturating, disciple making God, focused followers of Jesus. Long Range The Background Vision: Free Fremont: We will aggressively seek to overwhelm our community with the love of God, by going where they are and bringing them here, and sending “home grown” missionaries to plant new churches and bring the light of God to our community. We will be so close to them we will know their needs and respond. Everyone a Disciple Maker: We will deepen our relationship with Jesus, create a process that discovers and multiplies new and existing followers of Jesus and prepares new leaders. In three years, we will have 21/21/21; trained Teachers/Mentors/Leaders. Worship Empowerment: Worship begins in the parking lot and continues as one leaves. We will immediately transform all levels of worship to be a God focused, welcoming, empowering and enriching experience that “Sticks with” all who worship. Change for the Kingdom’s Sake: We will increase our community recognition by changing the name of our church. We will improve and expand our footprint to include 300 people in worship through deliberate, planned actions such as purchasing homes on our block, remote parking and a redesign of our church. The Mid-Ground Vision: Short Range It’s a new day! In the first three years we see more people saying, “count me in!” and joining our cause. These years will be a time of connection and service as we reach out to Fremont County. We will begin by adopting three blocks and get to know our neighbors and how we can serve them. The Foreground Vision: Spiritual Formation: Develop a plan of personal spiritual growth that permeates every function of our church. Every person will have their own pathway to a deeper relationship with God and have a mentor to journey with them every step of the way. This will be completed by August 2019 Worship Explosion: Develop an interconnected strategy of worship that blends our greeters, ushers, praise team, Deacons/Yokefellows and pastor. The name of the church will change to one that communicates who we are (our personality and heritage) and is inviting to the community we serve. Target date is April 2019. Pave and Hit the Road: Develop a funding strategy to support God’s Dream. We will purchase one van to begin bringing people to church by June 2019. Social Media and Website Improvement: Research and purchase the optimum church website and social media platforms. Recruit and train a new team to manage and update our various church media connections. Target date is February 2019
Christmas is over and New Year’s will soon be upon us. My resolution is to provide everyone a solid church centric Facebook Page. Only time will tell!

I am so excited that Gordon is coming to our area. The concert will be at Majestic Baptist Church, Pueblo West on April 20th. Concert begins at 7pm. A love offering will be taken. Hope you can come and bring a friend. Pack the house!
